Proud to be a FAN BOY

I get a bunch of questions asking me if I actually read and collect comics.  Well as a matter of fact I do.

It all started on a sunny day in Canada in the spring of 1992.  I picked up Frank Miller’s Year One trade paperback in Steveston, BC.  I needed something to read for the long flight back to Huntsville.  I read it once and I thought it was the coolest thing I’ve ever read so I had to read it again.  After that point I couldn’t get enough Batman. First I scooped up a bunch of trade paper backs from bookstores.  Then next few I read were Batman: Red Rain, Catwoman: Her Sister's Keeper, and Penguin: Triumphant.  I was surprised with the stunning artwork and thoughtful stories that went into each issue. Now it’s just something I expect.  At the time I lived in Huntsville, AL but I joined up with Mile High Comics mail order subscription service.  I'd get a box from them about every three months with a whole bunch of comics in it.  When I moved back to Colorado, I transferred my N.I.C.E. account to Lyn Moulton's shop on Littleton Blvd.   Every Wednseday it's like Christmas.

I don't read much Marvel except for the new Daredevil.

Check out my Animated Spawn web-site.   It's in the same domain, but a growing web-site in its own right.

I subscribe to every comic title that has Batman or Gotham City in it.  I tried to make my list as comprehensive as possible, but I'm sure that many mini-series were left out.  Since they are not ongoing titles, they got left out of the list.

Ongoing titles I collect and read (as of 10/24/1999, yeah this list is REALLY old):
